The Making of European Music in the Long Eighteenth Century

Oxford University Press comunica la inminente publicación, en su colección New Cultural History of Music, del libro The Making of European Music in the Long Eighteenth Century de D. R. M. Irving, investigador de la Institució Catalana de Recerca i Estudis Avançats (ICREA) y profesor-investigador de la Institució Milà i Fontanals de Recerca en Humanitats, CSIC, Barcelona.

Las investigaciones del Dr. Irving se centran en el papel de la música en el colonialismo moderno temprano y el contacto intercultural. Es autor de Colonial Counterpoint: Music in Early Modern Manila (2010), coeditor de la revista Eighteenth-Century Music con W. Dean Sutcliffe  y coeditor general de A Cultural History of Western Music (2023) con Alexander Rehding .
